Nearly 300 Families Assisted at Mobile Food Drive

Posted by Cassie Furnare on

Morris Habitat partnered with Table of Hope in July to host their mobile food pantry, helping nearly 300 families fill their refrigerators and pantries with fresh food and produce.
With business closings, layoffs and furloughs, family food insecurity increases every day. Morris Habitat for Humanity has been helping families with affordable homeownership for 35 years, and we have turned our immediate attention to helping those who need food. Please see local coverage and photos of the food drive in the Daily Record.
We will help again with Table of Hope’s mobile food pantry on Aug. 12 in Roxbury. Free groceries including fresh produce, dairy and canned goods will be distributed from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Horseshoe Lake Park on Eyland Avenue. Click here for information on upcoming mobile food pantries.
If you would like to donate to the mobile food pantry, please click here for our virtual drive. Table of Hope needs masks, cleaning supplies, food storage containers and other items to help with food distribution.
