Morris Habitat for Humanity is Growing

After celebrating 35 years of providing safe, decent and affordable housing for families in the Morris County area, Morris Habitat for Humanity has expanded into central New Jersey by acquiring the service area of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plainfield & Middlesex County. The combined organization will operate under the Morris Habitat for Humanity brand. The newly expanded organization will create more opportunities for affordable housing and community improvement through home construction, home repair and neighborhood revitalization. The acquisition will effectively double Morris Habitat’s service area to 68 municipalities spanning 1,000 square miles in Morris, Middlesex and parts of Union and Somerset counties....

The ReStore sells gently used home furnishings, lighting, and building materials. Nearly 300 Families Assisted at Mobile Food Drive

Morris Habitat partnered with Table of Hope in July to host their mobile food pantry, helping nearly 300 families fill their refrigerators and pantries with fresh food and produce. With business closings, layoffs and furloughs, family food insecurity increases every day. Morris Habitat for Humanity has been helping families with affordable homeownership for 35 years, and we have turned our immediate attention to helping those who need food.
